One of my favorite fall memories is "helping" my parents rake the leaves, then jumping into the piles with my brother and sister. See the broom my brother is holding, that's what he was using to "help" rake. After big piles were raked together in the front yard my mom and dad would rake them onto a big sheet and carry them into the backyard to be piled up and burned. Occasionally, we could hitch a ride back to the front yard by being dragged in the empty leaf sheet.
Raking the yard was something I definitely looked forward to every fall...until I was old enough to actually do some raking that is ;)

Friday night a much-anticipated new bar opened in our little city. We wanted to go check it out, and it looks like everyone else in town had the same idea. It was packed!
The interior is very steampunkish - industrial era. My favorite touch was the subway tiles behind the bar spelling the name of our city.
For better (read: non-iphone) pictures, and a short history of the place, you should really read this article from All Over Albany. I'm so excited to finally have a classy place to go for drinks in Troy!
Loving: My new winter coat, and crazily enough, the SUPER early Christmas stuff everywhere. I've totally got the Christmas spirit this year. I've already finished 90% of my Christmas shopping! Listening: I've been trying to give No Doubt's new album another chance, but there are only 3-4 songs I can even stand listening too. Reading: Blogs and emails. Hoping to start reading more books now that my sister has given me her old iPad and I can download them right on there. Watching: Now that October is over, we FINALLY caught up on the Walking Dead and OMG. This season is sooooo much better than last season already!
Thinking about: New ideas for prints for my shop now that I have finally completed ever State! Stressing about: Getting over this awful cold I've had for 2 weeks now.
Looking forward to:Seeing our families on Thanksgiving and Christmas! Making me happy: The new lighting fixture we made for my office (photos to come soon, I promise).
Our friend Richie at Lark Tattoo gave us some ink. This was M's first, and I took this picture just as Richie started to work. I thought for sure I'd get a better reaction face, but M was cool as a cucumber and when Richie asked him how it was he said "that's it?!"
Then it was my turn. It had been about 8 years since my last tattoo. It was uncomfortable at first, but then I either got used to it or my skin numbed out. Richie told me I have great skin for tattooing, which is good to hear because I don't plan on waiting 8 years again until my next one!
We had them placed so they match up when we hold hands. They look pretty cute when we are together, but when I'm off on my own little Pinky looks awfully lonely there...I may have to get some tattoo buddies to keep her company!
With all of the party planning going on for the halloween party we threw, we didn't get a chance to carve pumpkins. Luckily, we found a spare moment the night before Halloween to get these done!
M's original pumpkin from the farm had began to rot, so he ran to the supermarket and grabbed this giant.
Upon carving the pumpkin, M discovered his replacement pumpkin was also going soft in the back, so he cut all the soft spots out of the back and realized the hole was now big enough to fit over his head...
