Recently, M and I grabbed lunch at a local institution. Neither of us had ever eaten and Bob and Ron's Fish Fry before, but have been captivated by their vintage sign our whole lives.
The interior is also vintage: wood paneling, tables, booths, awesome.
M insisted we take the table right below the mounted shark.
There was another shark mounted above the neighboring table, so while M ate his fish fry, this gaping mouth was his view.
Long, skinny fried fish served on a hot dog bun, a side of fries and a side of macaroni salad.
The macaroni salad was great, the best I've ever had besides my grandmother's!
The fries were awesome! Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. I also loved that they provide malt vinegar on the condiments table. Delicious on fries!
The fish itself was good, but on the bland side. I could tell it was fresh, but it really had no flavor.
Not pictured is the AMAZING shake M got. It was banana flavor, thick, creamy, amazing.
If we're ever craving a fish fry again, we will definitely go back.
I might go back just to grab a banana shake!
