After the crazy, packed day spend doing everything the French Quarter has to offer, we spent our last day in New Orleans taking it easy. We had a great brunch, then took a walk.

Epic Road Trip Brew Tour Honeymoon 2012 - French Quarter pt. 4
After stuffing ourselves with raw oysters, our friends took us to the oldest bar in the French Quarter.
And Quentin Tarantino was hanging out there, NBD. That's his head in the window. I didn't want to take a pic of him when he was inside and be totally invasive. But there is the back of his head.

Epic Road Trip Brew Tour Honeymoon 2012 - French Quarter pt. 1
We started off our second day in New Orleans by getting some brunch.
This omelet was incredible, it had shrimp in it, and I can't remember what else. I also made it a point to get grits and a biscuit whenever possible while we were in the south. You just can't find the same quality up north when it comes to grits and biscuits.
We hopped on the trolley car and stopped in to Harrah's Casino. I spent all my gambling money on this machine.
This is me standing at the door of what is supposedly the most haunted house in the French Quarter.
Here is the street view of the house. If you'd like to read the story of why this house is so haunted, you can check it out here and read the story about the LaLaurie House.
Love that French Quarter architecture!
Hi-tech security in the French Quarter...
M stands for Mike, incase you didn't already know ;)
The interior of the bar was small, but the decor was awesome.
Couldn't put my vodka tonic down long enough to tak a picture.
Heather and I laughing about something.
After Bar Tonique, it was time to hit up the main even of the day:
The Gay Easter Parade in the French Quarter.

Epic Road Trip Brew Tour Honeymoon 2012 - Authentic Louisiana Crawfish Boil
After returning to New Orleans from Abita Springs, and stopping at a drive thru daiquiri place along the way, we took a little walk along the bayou. We had some time to kill before going to our first authentic Louisiana crawfish boil.
This is Heather's dad showing me the correct way to eat a crawfish.
Heather found a dude with disproportionate claws.
My birthday was the previous night, and Heather's dad and aunt both had birthdays within the next couple of days, so they had a cake for us! It was a Doberge Cake, and it was DELICIOUS!
