Falls View Park

Nestled away in little Cohoes, NY is a beautiful waterfall whose power is being harnessed for electricity. I think it's the most beautiful and peaceful park we have in our area.

 This is the view from the observation deck. Looking at the falls with the golden sunlight, I realized we might have been a few weeks early. We will definitely be back again once the leaves change.

 We descended a staircase and made it down to the lower level that is open for fishermen. The falls were even more beautiful from this level. The signs there say that it is second only to Niagara Falls. I'm not sure about the accuracy of that, but they certainly are breathtaking.

broadway lunch

When M's Dad and Step-Mom were in town, we visited their hometown: Schenectady. And we couldn't go to Schenectady without stopping for some hot dogs at Broadway Lunch.

One with everything. It was pretty tasty for a hot dog covered in meat sauce. Of course M and his family were raised on them and love them. I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not they are better than Famous Lunch in Troy.

This week...

...went to dinner with M's Dad and Step mom, then took them out on the town.
...one with everything at Broadway Diner.
...explored the next best thing to Niagara Falls
...played win lose or draw, which spawned the phrases "knee high to a tadpole" "double neck" and "apple doctor"
...stayed up til 4am
...last day of the track, hit a winner!
...stood up to my credit card company for raising my interest rate, and they dropped it by 8 percent...but only for 6 months, so in March I'll have to fight them again!
...Bon fire and smores on cool night.
...worked my last 3 days at the job I've been at for the past year. I'm ready to move on to bigger, better, brighter things.
...consumption of pumpkin spice lattes commenced!
