2010 wrap up

In January we were still recovering from the Epic Road Trip we took in November, and M's Band played a show.

In February I got crafty with my Bestie: Friendly Brown, we celebrated Valentine's Day with bruch at the diner, and we celebrated M's birthday!

In March we celebrated a friend's birthday with a fancy meal at New World Bistro, had an early spring cookout, I made some delicious Mint Julep Cupcakes, and Friendly Brown and I took a photo-taking stroll through downtown Albany.

In April I turned 29 and we celebrated with dinner at The Standard, then we went bowling, and the night after my birthday I got to see one of my favorite bands play.

In May M & I took our trip to BOSTON!! and saw Yeasayer play at the Paradise. We played a little pool, and celebrated our anniversary!

In June we spent some time in the Adirondacks, I shot a beautiful rose garden wedding, and I tried baking macarons for the first time!

In July we celebrated the 4th with a cookout in the Adirondacks, ate delicious soft serve, and M's band went on their first tour!

In August we spend some time at Saratoga Race Track,  I spent an afternoon at my parents' house, we went to the fair, spent some time at Lake George, and I fell in love with my friend's puppy!

In September we spent our labor day at the track, visted Falls View Park,  celebrated a friend's birthday at the Biergarten, and did a little leaf peeping.

In October I went to the orchard with my parents and sister, M and I went to Falls View Park again, we had a disappointing trip to the pumpkin patch, M played some shows with his second band Ghoul Poon, we went bowling with friends, and threw our 3rd annual costume kegger.

In November we took a trip to Brooklyn, celebrated Thanksgiving with our families, and ate lots of leftovers.

Finally, in December we went out and celebrated Friendly Brown's birthday,  my mom and I went to Hudson for the Winter Walk, we baked Peanuts Christmas cookies, and the cats knocked over our beautiful Christmas tree.

We hope you all enjoyed coming along for the ride! We can't wait to see where 2011 brings us, but we hope to see you all there!

Dear Snow,
We've had one major storm, and it's safe to say I'm already over you...please don't over stay your welcome this winter.

Dear 2010,
Parts of you were awesome, parts of you were awful, I'm looking forward to closing the book on you and getting on with 2011.

Dear New Years Eve,
You are probably going to be the coolest NYE we've had in a while, I can't wait!

Dear Christmas Ham,
We've eaten enough of you this week to tide us over until next Christmas. I don't think I could even look at another piece of ham for another year!

christmas decorations photo dump

we got this ornament in 2008 to commemorate the year we brought Styles and Miyagi into our lives <3

I brought this ornament from my parent's house, it was one of my favorites...this is the last photo of it in one piece...

We waited until Christmas Eve - eve to put ornaments on the tree because of the cats...and woke up Christmas Eve morning to this...the only ornament that was broken: my favorite from my parents' house :( Thanks kitties....good thing you guys are CUTE!

Dear Christmas Eve,
I'm so excited that for the first time in years I won't be working and can actually enjoy you!

Dear Holiday Parties,
You're making it REALLY difficult for me to stick to this diet. I REALLY can't wait until things get back to normal after the New Year.

Dear Styles and Miyagi,
PLEASE stop ripping the bows off of my perfectly wrapped packages! I know you think they are just toys for your amusement, but they aren't. And by the time you're done with them they won't be pretty any more.
Dear Friends,
M and I hope you all have an amazing Christmas, and we can't wait to read all about your holidays on your blogs!

baking christmas cookies

Rolling out the dough

Thank you eBay for our vintage Peanuts cookie cutters!

M was in charge of stamping

First attempt was rolled too thin, so we scrapped them and re-rolled the dough.

Perfect! Time for the oven, kids!

 Baked and cooling!

 Starting to ice the cookies

M disposed of the icing in the sink and made some art in the process!

M's Charlie Brown with a bomb, and blown up Lucy...

The M 2010 Holiday Collection.
It took me about an hour to ice these 4 perfectly, but it was totally worth it!
