If you really knew me

If you follow Danielle of Sometimes Sweet (and if you don't, you SHOULD), you probably read her inspiring 'If you really knew me' post. It's been going around some of the other blogs I follow as well, and I decided to give it a go.

If you really knew me...
-you would know that I cry at those ASPCA commercials EVERY time, but never bat an eyelash at the feed the children commercials.

-you would know that I have scoliosis in my lower back and this causes me pain regularly. Standing for long periods of time, or sitting without proper back support cripples me.

-you would know that Gwen Stefani has been my style icon since I was 15 years old. Annnnd....I may or may not have rocked a bindi and red lipstick in high school...

-you would know that I am insecure. I have never been happy with my body and sometimes this insecurity can manifest itself in other ways like not wanting to go out, or being really bitchy because I just don't feel good about myself.

-you would know I am lazy. I would LOVE to lay around and crochet while watching Netflix all day long. But I try to keep this reigned in.

-you would know I am short tempered. I am an Aries. I have a LOW tolerance for stupidity. I can get really angry really fast, and sometimes it's irrational.

-you would know I am literally addicted to chocolate. Like, there are times when I'm driving home from work and it's all I can do to keep myself from stopping at the store to pick some up. It's bad. But I try very VERY hard to keep this in check too.

-you would know I HATE IPAs, and therefore would NEVER order me one at a bar or restaurant.

-you would know that I love my husband, pets, family, and friends more than anything in the world and would do anything for them.

  1. I love this post - so honest and open! I'm right there with you on the SPCA commercials, and now the Humane Society has one, too.

  3. I know you didn't ask, but a trusted coworker of mine was raving today about how pain-free her back was today after getting acupuncture yesterday. Like couldn't get over it, "I didn't know how much I was hurting until I didn't anymore" thrilled! Just thought I'd throw it out there! Love your blog.
