pumpkin patch

Pumpkin picking is one of our favorite fall traditions, and we were really looking forward to it this year. We drove out to a patch we hadn't visited before, but we had heard good things about it, so we were excited.

Pick Your Own is ESSENTIAL for us!

We walked into the patch, and right off the bat saw that it was smaller and has less of a selection than the patch we usually go to.

In fact, this is what most of the selection looked like...
They had obviously picked the biggest and nicest to bring up to the farm store and what was left wasn't exactly....what we were looking for?

So we were forced to pick our pumpkins from the pre-picked selection at the store. Which was pretty disappointing.

Next year we will definitely be going back to our good old standby!

  4. That sucks! Why in the world would they do this. The fun of going to a patch is picking your own pumpkin. UGH. I just go to wal mart. Not as nostalgic, but I always find the perfect pumpkin. :)
